| Choosing The Design | ||||||||
| We have a contemporary portfolio of over 15 truly original collections that are designed and handmade in our studio. Whether you are looking for a luxurious, vintage, funky, oriental, Indian, traditional, minimalist or quirky feel, we can tweak our off-the-shelf designs to suit you perfectly. You can browse our handmade colelctions by clicking on the 'handmade designs' tab above. If you are struggling to decide on a particular design, we can help you pick one out based on: • the tone you want to set for your wedding • your personality as a couple • any theme you would like • your colour choices • the bridal gown or floral arrangements you have/plan to purchase • your budget. It is a good idea to get a few bridal magazines and cut out photos of everything that appeals to you. Browsing wedding websites and retailers will also give you a feel for your likes and dislikes. If you want help choosing a design then pop to our studio in Lancaster and bring along swatches of fabric, photos, pages you have ripped out of magazines, details of your venue, food you have chosen…etc. All these things will give me a strong understanding of how to convey your wedding through your stationery. We even have mood boards in the studio if all else fails! The chances are that you will see a collection that you fall in love with and just ‘have to have’! |

| What We Need & When | ||||||||
| We advise you to place an order for all your wedding stationery at once, ideally at least 20 weeks before your wedding day. This ensures that your wedding is booked into our production schedule as early as possible and that we can order all of the materials necessary in good time. However, we are happy to provide your order in two stages – your save the date cards/invitations initially and then a second order for any remaining items once your wedding plans have progressed.
The timeline below shows exactly what you need to do and by when. Even if you are ordering everything at once, you can still submit your wording in stages. We do not expect you to have your order of service written 20 weeks before the wedding date (gold star for those of you who are this organised though!): At least 20 weeks before your wedding You need to order your invitations around 20 weeks before the wedding so that you can send them out 10-12 weeks before the wedding date. We prefer to have 8 weeks to make up your invitations as some of the materials we use are rare and everything is totally handmade to order. Obviously, if you need them sooner, we can usually accommodate you but it depends upon stock levels and our production schedule. When ordering your chosen invitation, you’ll need to supply: • Quantity required • Wording choices (suggested wordings can be found on the link at the bottom of every page) • Typeface required (choose from a selection, view by clicking on the link at the bottom of every page) • Text for any guest information inserts You can submit your text as ‘Word’ documents via email or on a CD. Alternatively, you can fill in our ‘wording submission form’ by hand and we will typeset it for you. At least 8 weeks before the wedding RSVPs should have been returned by now so you will have a clearer idea of the exact numbers attending your wedding. It is now time to finalise the details for the remainder of your wedding stationery. At this stage we will need wording for your order of service/ceremony/the day as a ‘Word’ document or handwritten on one of our ‘wording submission forms’. Make sure that the details are checked and confirmed by the celebrant (eg the vicar, priest, registrar etc) and those involved with the service prior to sending it through to us. At least 6 weeks before the wedding If you have not already provided us with details of what you need for the reception, you will now need to provide us with: • Wording for menu cards (as a ‘Word’ document or handwritten on one of our ‘wording submission forms’) • Table names and a list of the people sitting at each table (as a ‘Word’ document or handwritten on one of our ‘wording submission forms’) • A rough diagram of how you would like your table plan to be laid out • Filling choices for favours |
